How to prevent, treat scalds and frostbite, from Upstate's Clark Burn Center

Do you know what to do if you are scalded by hot coffee or a cup of ramen noodles? Immediately place the injured skin beneath tepid running water, says nurse Tamara Roberts, Upstate University Hospital's burn program manager. She tells about scalds and other injuries, including frostbite, that are treated in Upstate's Clark Burn Center, which serves patients from 41 counties in New York and Pennsylvania.
